Robert Parsons is the Program Coordinator of Graphic Design at VCAD, and a creative educator and multimedia professional with more than thirty years of industry experience and twenty-five years of teaching.

 

He brings an energetic, student-focused approach that connects design, communication, and technology. Rob has taught thousands of learners across Canada in graphic design, animation, web development, marketing, and business communication.

 

His creative portfolio includes designing a 35-foot nautical star installation with more than eight hundred engraved names in Open Hearth Park, developing the Artisync online platform for comic creators, and restoring the 1970s comic series Old Trout Funnies by Paul Moose MacKinnon. The remastered work was later exhibited internationally and featured in a book by Dr. Ian Brodie.

He also produced a national web series profiling Canadian entrepreneurs, including a special feature with Dragon's Den personality Michelle Romanow.

 

Renowned for his engaging teaching style and ability to simplify complex ideas, Rob inspires confidence, curiosity, and creativity. He is dedicated to helping emerging designers discover their voice, build strong portfolios, and develop the skills needed to thrive in the modern design industry.
